Operating rules

Basic Rules
  • Observe safety precautions near heated surfaces of the stove, chimney and hot water tank in the steam room. Avoid getting water on the glass of the stove, entrance doors, windows, lamp shades to prevent the glass from breaking due to temperature differences.
  • Keep the oven door closed.
  • Do not exceed the temperature in the bath over 110 C. Do not heat the chimney pipe red hot.
  • The barrel sauna can be used by adults, as well as children under compulsory supervision.
  • It is recommended to ventilate the bath after use. It is advisable to heat (dry) the bath after taking water procedures.
  • It is recommended to clean and check the chimney every three months.
  • Periodically adjust windows, doors.
  • Carry out internal processing with a protective antiseptic at least after 25-30 times of using the product. External treatment should be performed as needed, at least once every two years with protective antiseptics.
  • Adjust the thrust force of the furnace by opening the ash pan located under the door. Excessive draft will heat the oven red hot, which will shorten its life. But sufficient traction is necessary to properly heat the stones. For ignition, the ash pan must be pulled out of its length. After the firewood has ignited, the ash pan must be covered and the combustion must be further regulated with the ash pan, preventing overheating of the chimney and stove.
  • Connection to the 220 volt electrical network must be carried out by a specialist with the appropriate permit. Grounding required.

It is prohibited:
  • Close ventilation openings in the walls of the bath.

The first firebox of the furnace:

  • The stove and the inner surface of the bath are treated with special compounds. Therefore, after installation, the bath must be heated for at least 30 minutes at a temperature of 60 C, having previously opened the doors and windows for weathering. It is not recommended to lay stones during the first fire.

  • The stones for the stove must be thoroughly rinsed under running water, preferably with a metal sponge.

  • After laying the stones, it is necessary to reheat the bath for 30 minutes with the doors open.

  • After two furnaces in the bath, the smell of burning paint and stones will disappear.

Hygiene in the bath

  • When using a sauna or steam bath, you should always remember about hygiene. In such an environment, where humidity and warm air prevail, bacteria and microbes spread very well, and in order to avoid fungi and other unpleasant diseases, it is worth constantly monitoring the cleanliness in the steam room itself and in the adjacent rooms.

  • When using a sauna or steam bath, people must follow some hygiene rules. So, before entering the steam room, you need to take a shower and dry yourself properly, and sit on towels in the steam room itself. You need to wear slippers to move around the rooms adjacent to the sauna and take a shower before using the pool. The pool water must be changed every day, as it quickly becomes dirty.

  • Together with human sweat, a huge amount of bacteria is released, so the cabin of a sauna or bath must also be thoroughly cleaned. Cleaning, as a rule, is carried out daily after the end of the bath, but disinfectants should not have a negative reaction. Cleaning is done with baking soda and a brush. The shelves and adjacent wooden surfaces are cleaned, and then the entire room is washed from a hose with water. At the same time, the door of the steam room must be open, and the heating must be turned off. The door should remain open after cleaning until the next day. Cleaning of steam rooms is necessary not only to prevent various skin diseases, but also to achieve clean air in the booth during sessions, which is also quite important for the human body.

  • The rooms adjacent to the bath must also be clean and well ventilated. When you come to the bathhouse, you need to have a clean towel. Two-color towels are very good for such cases, which can be used in different ways from different sides. This will put it on one side of the sauna bench and sit on the other.

  • All these hygiene rules must be followed in order for the bath to benefit, not harm your body. Of course, the first time you may not feel the benefits that the use of the sauna will bring you, but by visiting it regularly, you will be pleasantly surprised by the result. But it must be remembered that the beneficial effect of the bath on the body depends on the correct use of it.

Adjusting the tightening hoops:

  • Inspect the tightening hoops regularly.

  • The hoops are adjusted as needed. The need for adjustment is determined by the following signs: if the hoop is loose and easily moves relative to the bath, strong creaks or tapping of wood appear against each other, then it is necessary to tighten the hoop. After a tight fit of the bath, tighten the upper nuts with a hoop no more than one and a half turns, in order to prevent the hoop from tightening.

Rules for the winter operation of the bath:

  • Heat adjacent rooms with an open inner door.

  • To remove moisture, dry the bath with the doors open, reheating the stove.

  • If for some reason it is not possible to dry immediately, then do it the next day.
